Here at Daniel’s Western Meat Packers, we are inspired by our talented team every single day. As part of our ongoing efforts to recognize the people who make up Team Daniel’s, we are happy to put the spotlight on Dani Gutierrez, our inside sales team leader.
Dani is a forceful mix of customer service and sales. With Daniel’s for over 3 years, she now oversees a large part of the company’s order desk operations, but also assists with dispatch, inside sales and accounts receivable. Dani takes a hands-on approach to supporting how the company engages with customers and are introduced to new products. With every conversation she has with customers, she helps improve how Daniel’s builds relationships and communicates with customers.
Daniel’s offers a variety of products, including beef cuts, poultry, burger patties and seafood. Dani helps give customers quick access to additional product information and pricing.
For Dani, working for Daniel’s isn’t just a job. She, along with her colleagues, are driven by the company’s efforts to continue to provide quality products to restaurants and other establishments.
“I love talking to customers and building that relationship with them,” said Dani. “I’ve talked to a lot of owners and kitchen staff and have even visited their restaurants.”
Dani is a Pico Rivera local and grew up around the company, being that her mom has worked for Daniel’s for over 20 years. What drew her to Daniel’s was the company’s dedication to its employees and being an honest company in the foodservice industry. She had previous customer service experience when coming on board, but her career growth was elevated once she started with Daniel’s. In 2021, her role expanded to include more inside sales and accounts receivable.
When asked about her journey since starting with Daniel’s, she admits she was shy at first, but has gained a lot of confidence in herself and in her work.
“At first I was shy, and I would just take the order, but now I have a little conversation with everyone before I take an order,” she said. “I always ask how they are doing, and how work is going and all that, just to make them feel welcome.”
She looks forward to learning more and continuing to help customers thrive with Daniel’s.
